January-May 2003        Chairman of the Forum for Security Cooperation of the OSCE, the arms control, disarmament and security building measures organ of the OSCE;

 

June 2002                               Presidential candidate in Albania’s 2002 Presidential elections;

 

May 2000-December ’02   IAEA Secretariat, Programme Management Officer (also in Office of the Director), Europe Section, Division of Europe, Latin America and West Asia, Department of Technical Co-operation; analysed national situations, prepared CPF Guidelines, drafted, negotiated and finalised a number of national Country Programme Frameworks with governments of Members States on mid-term technical cooperation with the IAEA; assisted/advised Director with drafting policy papers/positions, reports and on a number of relevant matters;

 

July 1998-May 2000       OSCE Secretariat, adviser/Operations Officer, Conflict Prevention Centre and Dept. Administration and Operations; organised and established, managed and lectured in training/induction programme/courses for mission members; member of Senior Staff, coordination and preparation of large-mission deployment plans and guidelines; drafted internal instructions, put together issuances for the administrative manual; followed implementation of OSCE decisions, documents, programmes; other duties.

Also, UK desk officer, member of government delegation in all negotiations with the UK Foreign Office on the resumption of diplomatic relations between Albania and the UK;
